An atypical Story

The first peculiarity of Wave Murano Glass is its history. The founder of this enterprise is not a native Muranese, but a man from Brescia, Roberto Beltrami<\/strong>.<\/span>
<\/span>As a child, he dreamed of becoming an inventor. Raised and educated between Italy and the United States<\/strong>, Roberto quickly realized that his true calling was to create with his own hands. And when he discovered Murano glass<\/strong>, with its ancient charm and power to shape matter, he fell deeply in love, deciding to make it his mission.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A cultural melting pot

But the real soul of Wave Murano Glass is its international team<\/strong>. Here, young people from all over the world work side by side, each bringing their own wealth of experiences and skills.<\/span>
<\/span>There’s Benjamin<\/strong>, a graduate of Plymouth College of Art, who has been collaborating with Wave Murano Glass since 2020. During his studies, he seized the opportunity for an internship in Murano through an Erasmus program. Initially, Benjamin worked in another furnace, but then he met Roberto and the Wave Murano Glass team. The connection was immediate, so much so that the young Englishman chose to stay with them.
In recent years, the international presences at Wave Murano Glass have grown, also in response to the difficulty of finding skilled workers in the area. There’s Ana<\/strong> from Spain<\/strong>, for example, who has brought her experience. And then there are Tamasin<\/strong> from Australia<\/strong> and Stefania<\/strong> from <\/span>Trentino.<\/b>  Each with their own story, each with something unique to offer. Each with a unique background<\/strong> and specific skills.<\/span>
<\/span>Roberto, alongside the master glassmakers, plays a mentorship role for these talents, guiding them in perfecting various techniques. A continuous exchange of knowledge<\/strong> that enriches everyone, in an atmosphere of mutual growth. This cultural variety also translates into a stimulating environment, where ideas circulate freely and creativity is always encouraged.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Here, there isn’t the rigid hierarchy typical of Murano furnaces, where the master glassmaker is the pivot of everything. Instead, they work in a more horizontal manner, with continuous collaboration<\/strong> between different professional figures. There isn’t even a clear division of “stations” by technical skills.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each project<\/strong> is approached collectively.<\/strong> . An approach that is reflected in innovative creations, like the “cacti” recently made for Bottega Veneta.<\/span>
