The Zanetti family’s history in the world of glass dates back to the 19th century, when one of their ancestors, Abbot Zanetti, founded the Glass Museum and opened the Murano Glass School. Andrea’s grandfather, Licio Zanetti, distinguished himself for the artistic quality of his glass sculptures, elevating the family furnace to one of the most prestigious in Murano. Oscar Zanetti<\/strong>, Andrea’s father, inherited this artistic talent, expressing it through both ancient and innovative techniques.<\/span><\/p>

In 2010<\/strong>, there was a significant generational shift when the ownership and management of Zanetti passed to Andrea Zanetti<\/strong> and Damian Farnea<\/strong>, sons of the two previous partners. Andrea has the privilege of working alongside two great masters: his father Oscar Zanetti <\/strong> and<\/span> Afro Celotto<\/strong><\/a>.. These two mentors, specialized in very different Murano techniques, offer Andrea a unique and comprehensive perspective on the art of glassmaking. Following this illustrious tradition and benefiting from this exceptional guidance, Andrea spent his entire youth observing and learning in the furnace.<\/span><\/p>

In 2014<\/strong>, his hard work was rewarded with the prestigious Murano Prize<\/strong> for an abstract work created in collaboration with designer Patrick Berger<\/strong>. When asked about his journey, Andrea responds with humility: “Master, in quotes, is something you become when you’re old.” This statement underlines his awareness of how long the road is to achieve full mastery in this art.
